希望工程

希望工程，創(chuàng)立于1989年10月，是共青團發(fā)起倡導并組織中國青少年發(fā)展基金會實施的一項社會公益黨營事業(yè)。其宗旨是資助貧困地區(qū)失學兒童重返校園，建設希望小學，改善農(nóng)村辦學條件。援建希望小學與資助貧困學生是希望工程實施的兩大主要公益項目。希望工程改善了貧困地區(qū)的辦學條件，促進了貧困地區(qū)基礎教育事業(yè)的發(fā)展。

Project Hope

Project Hope, founded in October 1989, is a social welfare program launched and organized by the Communist Youth League and carried out by the China Youth Development Foundation. The Project aims at supporting educational dropouts from poverty-stricken areas to return to school through building Hope primary schools and improving schooling conditions in rural areas. Hope primary schools and financial support for students from needy families are two major public welfare projects of Project Hope. It improved schooling conditions and promoted the development of basic education in poverty-stricken areas.
